i'm having a b*tch of a time getting low fret (1,2,3,4,5)barre chords whenever i have a capo above two. especially on "Julia" by the Beatles. i'd have problems with some of them anyway (like the Fm9) it is after all a 1-4 stretch. but i found myself hitting bum notes even on an A barre (very uncool) i use medium guage on my acoustic and jazz guage on my electric. so my fingers are very strong, i can do stuff like low fret bends (i.e. fret 2). this is just really worrysome, anyone else get this?

Same here. Roll strumming is easier too, but I prefer to practise it without a capo.

If it's a trigger style capo, it should work fine on your acoustic even if it's made for an electric. Maybe try another capo? If not, your action might be a little dodgey?

All the same, regardless of the action, the capo should make stuff easier to play I'd imagine, especially on the first 4-5 frets...

He has a Kyser Quick Change. I have the same. I don't see where that should give problems. And indeed, capos make playing easier.
