something about me not being trust worthy with their confidential files... knowing full while that i'd have to sign AT LEAST two confidentiality agreements. they wouldn't even put me in the f*cking mail room. mad.gif f*ck! i'm so mad.

What?! No! sad.gif

You could get a Tacoma, those are lovely. I've got one, an EM9, that set me back $1200, you could get one a step up from it. Or save another thousand dollars that you'll get from.. somewhere, and get a lefty D-28, because that would rock. (I'm assuming that they exist.)

What else? You could get lots of alcohol.

You could get those mods to your Strat, buy a flight case, and get an Ovation. Or not get the Ovation and buy drugs.

Twelve-string-wise for that kind of money? Shop used, you might find a nice Guild (good 12's), maybe even a used Taylor. There are used Gibsons in that range too but I'd only get one I played first and liked (played for AT LEAST a half-hour or more). Used 12-s (being in less demand) often depreciate faster than used six-strings.

(Now ain't ya sorry you sold those nuclear secrets to North Korea?)
Un-plugged is not the same as

Look at maybe a Taylor 455...Has the same general look (white binding) and sound (ovankol is a good representation of rosewood) of the 855...but for MUCH less...

That, or else buy blind from an online auction site which has a reputation for dodgey deals, like I did! biggrin.gif

I got a good deal out of it, mind!

dadfad, evileye....

as much as those ideas DO kick ass.... it's hard enough to find a used STRAT let alone a taylor 12 string. i mean the very likelyhood of finding one is just about as good as being struck by lightning. thanks anyway.

And your need for a lefty makes that even harder I'd assume, eh? sad.gif

actually that's what i was getting at,... so ya. it's pretty much impossible... but there are some more job opportunities popping up, so things could be looking up. i might get it after all, but no cutaway, i decided that it would be almost pointless because 12 strings don't play all too high.

Seriously...Try a 455....Even right handed (fake it) just to get the sound. Or have someone play it for you...

I bet you will like it....

i've tried them all up to and including the 655 (even tried a 355 with maple back and sides)

i was blown away more and more the higher the number. it's basically the original twelve string design by bob taylor so i think i'll stick with the 855, but damn, flamed maple sure looks cool....
