How much did you purchase this item for? It was a present...
Where did you purchase this item? Music City, Sydney Australia
Is this item new or used? New

Features: The same size and shape as a regular Boss Pedal, the TU-2 is a sturdy and reliable guitar/ bass tuner. Battery or adapter powered, this pedal features different tuning modes. There is one input, two outputs, an AC adapter input, plus an ingenious AC output so that you can power other pedals down the chain. The display is all LED. The small black mode buttons are a little hard to see on a dark stage however, and it is easy to press one by mistake while setting up.

Construction: Very solid and tough. Ideal for gigging.

Ease of Use: Very simple, just a matter of stepping on the pedal to engage the tuning function. Using the “Output” jack outlet means that the signal to your amp will be muted while tuning, using the “Bypass” jack outlet means that your signal will still be audible when tuning. You can choose from CENT tuning where the tuner operates like a regular “needle” style tuner, or STREAM which is like a strobe tuner.
You can set the tuner to tune chromatically (my favourite, where the tuner names any note you play), or set it for “guitar” or “bass” which only recognises the pitch relating to the open strings. There is also a function for tuning down either a semi-tone or a full tone which is ideal for those habitual drop tuners among us!
This tuner is ideal for 5 string basses and had no trouble at all registering the low B.

Reliability: Built to last, never had any problems with this unit.

Overall: Perfect. Easy to use and convenient. You can stay plugged into this tuner all night because you only use the battery when you step on the unit to tune. I can recommend the TU-2 to everyone.

Experience Level: I have 18 years gigging/ recording experience.

How much did you purchase this item for? Can't remember actually
Where did you purchase this item? Mother's Music
Is this item new or used? New

Features: Read above review for features...all that matters to me really is that it allows me to tune my guitar on stage quickly and quietly and it does that biggrin.gif

it's got true bypass!!!

Construction: It's not plastic...it's metal, and you know because it's a Boss it's not going to fail...unless maybe you spill beer on it...and even then

Sound: well I think I sound better in tune than not it tune so great...lol

Ease of Use: Very easy to use and operate...true bypass which is very important!!

Reliability: it's very reliable gig without a backup with confidence...although if ya can't tune by ear at all then maybe a backup wouldn't be a bad idea

Overall: top rating...it doesn't get any better than this...it's great on batteries too...just don't leave it on for a week....lol
