Behringer 2442 Eurorack Mixer

Review by Matt1911

How much did you purchase this item for?
Where did you purchase this item?
Is this item new or used? New

Features: All of them, you'll have to spend 3 times the 300 dollar price to get all the input and outputs! It's a 4 bus, has 4 aux channles 8 mono with phatom power, 4 more stereo channles, 99 digital effects, tape input, direct outs on every channel, inserts for each, 8 aux sends, etc.

Construction: Seems well built, a little small for my taste, they sure put a lot in a small board!

Sound: Excellent, no noise as far as I can tell.

Ease of Use: Fairly straight forward, instuctions are ok, but if you're new to mixers a lot to digest.

Reliability: Only had it a week, we willl see. I have other Beringer products none have failed me so far.

Overall: 12 stars outa 10, move over Mackie.

I have 3 different items by Behringer, The Tube Ultragain (T1953) http://www.behringer...ex.cfm?lang=ENG, The Tube Ultra-Q (T1951) http://www.behringer...ex.cfm?lang=ENG, and a B-1 Microphone, http://www.behringer...ex.cfm?lang=ENG , that I use in my small home studio. All work excellently and do exactly what is said on the tin.

The main rule of thumb with Berhinger gear is 90% of the quality for 10% of the price.

I.E. the B-1 microphone is 90% of a Neumann u-87, but is a tenth of the price.

The 3 pieces above cost 650 euro in total, about US$800 or GB£400.

Thats for 2 channels of mic amps with tube output stages, 2 channels of 4 band parametric eq with valve output stages and a 1-inch diameter condenser mic with shockmount and case.

But remember some older Behringer gear really did suck, but nowadays they are producing some fairly good gear.

Hello there,

I misplaced my power supply for my xenyx 1202FX mixer. I couldn't find the specs anywhere in the manual or on Behringer's website. Will it be possible for you to email me (looking at your power supply), what the details are (voltage, amperage, etc.).

I will greatly appreciate it.

You need to PM him he will not see this.

And that season be the first

I have a small EuroRack, four input. But the power supply went tits up, and the warranty was long gone. Luckily, there was a licensed dealer an hour away who could order a replacement. The Behringer website is useless in this matter.
