Taylor 314ce a step up Rate Topic: -----

i just bought a 314ce and i have to say this is a beutiful guitar. the expression is incredible.

im curiose abouthow well they age i really wouldnt worry about as long as you can afford a new guitar evey 5 to 10 yrs i mean if you divide the price look at it as an average of 200 bucks ayear.as far as sound i see it only getting better plus i heard taylor purchases the wood from the same suppliers as the others .

Ed Roman's viewpoint:

Taylor's use very thin woods to give that distinctive Taylor tone. However, a friend of Ed's (a very famous unnamed musician) said "it sounds ok on stage but it sounds like a hi-hat at home). He agrees. Ed also pointed out that if Taylor used more wood it would be beneficial to the ageing process, however as things stand the thin ammount of wood means the positive ageing process is limited at best.

im seeing the differance between having it plugged in and then just playin on the couch its definatly quiet what im thinking though is got a nice ax but i should go even higher
