I play mostly acoustic and I write my own music and stuff, but i do all different styles.......funk, jazz/metal, emo, alternative, ska........but do u think i shud jus stick to one style? people have told me just to stick to one style! so im confused, i like playing and singing all different styles, because they represent different moods of mine..........what do you guys think I shud do?

Dont listen to them. How could you just stick to one style. That is such a lame ass thing to say. Tell your friends to ###### off, and rock and roll all over them.

A lot of people say if you know what you like play just that (ie blues). But I too like all types and kinds of music, and I am influenced by each in a different way. Play what yo ulike playing not what your friends do. I play everything from the Beatles to 311 to the white stripes...all of which influence me. Play who influence you, musically, and don't worry about your friends...esp. if they themselves can't play.
