i plan on going to college and getting a masters in classical guitar. So i want to get an amp that would be good for electric but also be good for acoustic and classical guitars. My teacher told me that i should look into Traynor amps (now produced by yorkville) what are youre all opinions?

I'm not familiar with Traynor amps, but I do know of one great electric/acoustic amp (let's face it, there's very few of them around to seriously consider). The Rivera Sedona is probably the best sounding, well made hybrid around. Only problem: cost ($2000). From what I've heard it's got the Marshall and Fender tones down pat on the electric side, and a clean, warm tone on the acoustic side with natural reproduction. I'm not sure what your price range is, but in the land of boutique amps Rivera should be one you look at.
Search out customer reviews of the Sedona on the web. Otherwise, I don't know of any decent amps that do double duty.

I just got my first acoustic-electric. Is it worth getting another amp? It sounds good enough on the amp I'm using now.
Only if you wanna do gigs should you get an acoustic amp. I really dont know that it would be a day and night difference, but im sure it would sound bettter on an acoustic amp better than a leccy. Me myself im thinking about getting one sometime, just so i have one if i need one. But to answer your question, no it prolly aint worth it.
