oh man there's a new esteban guitar out, now it's an acoustic/electric, and i must say, the way they try to sell it is amazing. if it actually was everything they say it would be an amazing guitar (minus the crappy 2(or something like it) watt amp). it's almost funnier than the original!

The amp looked like a Yamaha 10 watt. Worth maybe $60 alone.
The guitar, on the other hand, is worth probably $6.

why do you say that, what makes it bad. And not just becuase esteban makes it. Do you even know anything about it.?

In the long run my friends, you gets what you pays for...no more no less. I saw the
HSN gig and the close up of the guitar showed very poor quality (they panned away very quickly). One question for the tens of thousands of people who bought them: who will fix them when they break?

Man once one Esteban topic finally gets put in the back of my mind and then this thing pops up
I think it was pretty much common knowledge the first guitar this guy tried to pawn on people was a P.O.S., just b.c this new one has electronics doesn't make it better or worse(hopefully)
I personally haven't seen either guitar in person, because to do that you need to buy it, which I wouldn't. I guess I would think it is common sense that most things on the HSN are P.O.S., ever see the sports "cards" they have on there? They always have famous names, like 'Tiger Woods' rookie card gem mint 10 'graded'...then you look at it and it is a double bubble card/never before heard of company. Not too mention when I saw the first commercial, they didn't even take the time to edit Mr. Esteban's playing, everyone makes mistakes but usually those don't make it to the final cut...unless they were just trying to rush it out to the market.
We all have opinions about things but when it comes down to it...some people will buy and others will laugh...which would you like to be?

Estaban...
Actually that infomercial on HSN got me over the hump to pick up a guitar and play it. So i cant knock it to much, but come on lets be realistic there is no way a 60 dollar guitar can sound like a 3500 dollar one. in the world of music you get what you pay for!. i bet the strings buzz on the frets so much that its hard to here what your playing. Maybe nice for a first guitar but you 'll out play the guitar in a month. My first guitar was a cheap washburn, sounded nice i though at the time it was about $200. then i got an ovation celebrity about $600 better quality and it sounded like night and day. a couple of weeks ago i played my dads friends martin like a 2500 or 3000 dollar guitar and i was outragious sounding. There is somthing to say about a good insturment. i would never buy somthing from the HSN, its all crap! if its cheap selling it was cheap to make that equals poor quality, no one is in buisness to give you a deal.

"HSN gig and the close up of the guitar showed very poor quality (they panned away very quickly)"
I also saw HSN and could not 'spot' the poor quality as you did.
For demonstration purposes he used the same guitar as he was selling not the $3500 one.
I thought it sounded fine....

Damn I was so close to ordering that thing. I'm always in search of a good cheap guitar, and its hand made. The best part was his Instructional DVD that would teach me to play the House of The Rising Sun in only two weeks or something. Man i wish i could play that song. I wish that someone had the tab for it.
haha
I agree you get what you pay for with muscial instruments. The problem is that you never realize how crappy your current instrument is until your play something better. The most exp. instrument i've ever played has been my Ovation Celebrity. I think i need to take a trip to the guitar store, maybe go finance a new 3000 guitar.
