A Takamine and its case went for $134 on ebay, my highest bid was 120. I wasn't home when the auction ended, so I didn't get a chance to save my bid.

I got a brand new Gibson J185 for $1,299 - with case, warrenty, documentation, everything. Not a second. I'm not sure of the list but your talking about $1,800 ish new. Suspicious? Know who your buying off and there is no need to be suspicious.

I myself would prolly never buy anything like that off ebay unless it was through an awesome seller...
There are too many scammers out there.
If you use common sense...your fine, but there are a lot of people that don't seem to have that anymore...

Yeah, that's exactly it. I was lucky, I bought through somebody who dealt in higher-end guitars, he was selling twenty and thirty a go. His prices have gone up since I purchased mind...
