Hello everyone! My name is Michael and I am new to the forum. I am actually a classical guitar player, but I love all styles of music.

Well, the best way I can introduce myself would be to give a link to my personal webpage. FerrisGuitar I started it to inspire guitarists.

For any of you that are in need of some guitar resources, there is also a part of my site at Guitar Resources with an interesting article on the history of the guitar.

I have a master's degree in guitar performance and just find the guitar a wonderful instrument, but music in general is just a fascinating thing. I am sure we will have some fun chatting on the forum. If anyone is in need of any advice concerning technique or guitar repair, I am the man to ask, and I will be happy to help. Looking forward to exchanging thoughts and getting to know some of you.

Until Soon,
Michael

Welcome to GTU, Michael. It's nice to add another guitarist with a lot of experience to the site. I've been playing for a little more than forty-two years myself, mostly fingerstyle acoustic, although I'm more into the informal steel-string genres like country-blues, ragtime, proto-jazz and old-time (from Appalachian to Celtic to Renaissance, etc) than classical styles (barring maybe an occasional foray into a poorly-played Sôr piece or something!). I saw on your site you were from Michigan. I was born in Michigan as well. Anyway, once again, welcome to GTU.

Welcome to GTU. I've only been playing guitar, coming up on my fifth year now, but I still don't know anything. tongue.gif

Anyway, welcome aboard. I can't wait to see what sort of knowledge you've got.
