Welcome, come, read, learn, enjoy.
Edit from Jen: Because I was bored, I took the liberty of writing the thread author's names with the titles if they weren't the person who posted the bio. Silly, I know. Oh well. Enjoy!

here ill write some rules
if you want to write a ledends biography then write out the whole thing in a PM and PM it to angusyoungfan and he will copy it into a thread and post it, you will get full credit for it
no one can post a thread exept improv rob and the moderator, so as i said PM ur biography to angus and he will ad it
that way this forum will continue to go on

I don't know if many people here know about any of the members of mayhem, but I think that Euronymous, Dead or Count Grishnaks biography, (or indeed all 3 of them) would make great reading...

Oct 4 2003, 02:36 PM
There are no legends missing . I did a number of legends specials etc for example there is no number 7 and 8 because i made that a special double legends and the number indocation is inside the thread not marked on the outside the same goes for the Jimmy Page one he was part of a four legend special if i remember correctly

Ill be fixing it soon so that the contents of al legends is noted in the topic title

I have got a question: What or who decides who's a legend and who's not? And is this forum section only for legends? Or may we add BIO:s about our own favourite guitarists (who are less-known and/or less-talented)?

Well Me Angusyoungfan started the legends threads a good while ago so i decided who each weeks legend was . Yes this forum is for musical legends . If you check the threads you will sere that eachy legend starts with an introduction fo who he/she is then there is a biography and then a discography . There are some very well known musicians in the threads and also some less known ones .

Okay, but does that mean we can add any musican we wish to? Say someone wanted to add Tom Delonge (which I hope no one would), and this person wrote a well-written biography and discography about him, and submitted it, would it be added?

Tough question .I personally would not submit a Tom Delonge Legends thread manily because the guy ain't w legend sure he was quite an influence to some punkers etc But a legend ? I don't think so . When you look at who have been written aboutin the legends threads
Page
Clapton
hendrix
Galagher
Gary Moore
Joni Mitchell ETC
He doesn't even come close to the legendary status that these guys have .
But yes if you type a legends thread and send it to VIA PM i woul be happy to submit it once i have verified it

I a few suggestions for legends that you could/should put on your list of people to do. The Tom Delonge thing sparked the thought. Joe Strummer of the Clash, Joey Ramone (as much as he wasn't a wonderful guitarist, he was extremely influential, and there for a legend in my book), Tim Armstrong and Lars Friedrickson of Rancid, and Bobby Steele from the Misfits.
I know this is a long list, but I feel that these aretist, or at least the first two are extremely inluential and legendary.
Also, I am working on doing some research on a guitar hero of mine. He is not well known, but from what I have read, he certainly had an impact on music in his own way. He was even asked to play at the opening of the Rock and Roll hall of fame, or at least I think it was the opening, though I do know that he did play there. When I have something written about him, I will let you know. I may even be able to get some quotes from him if he doesn't move off too soon.
