There's a lot of my favorites not on the list. It's like 'Who your fave guitarists out of a list of my fave guitarists' .

We should post up vids of our fave guitarist doing there finest work. And any guitarist playing anything resembling a pentatonic scale should be disqualified. :D :D

Well that's 3/4 of this list disqualified.

Especially a minor one, John.

(Hmmm... No pents or minor-pents... Well, that rules out blues, country, rock'n'roll and almost all rock recorded in the US and the UK in the 20th Century.... Dadfad begins looking for some tasty Māori Koauau nose-flute riffs that might translate well to the guitar... )

Un-plugged is not the same as never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.

I remember Chet Atkins playing Hangover Blues.

I went for Jimmy Page, Angus Young is a close second in my opinion though!

None of the guitarist's that I rate are even on the list, well maybe a couple, Hendrix and Rhoads, but i do know that John Squire, one of my favourite's, was very much influenced by Page, so respect in that direction. Angus? a close second? Well we're all entitled to our opinion, which makes this thread interesting. How Johnny Marr is not on the list is a travesty. I would also have the late James Honeyman-Scott in there. And there's no Robert Fripp, and that really is a crime.

I have seen him play live twice here in Adelaide. He is an awesome guitarist. Gary Moore, with a mix of eric Clapton, and a sprinkling of SRV. He also does an awesome acoustic show, with some top class musos. You have to see him live. First time i saw him i was blown away. :)
