use overdriven sound rather than distortion and just crank up the mids to cut through...

doesnt really matter if you use distortion or overdrive, just go for the usual amount of gain, but take out a lot of the highs, put the mids 1-2 oclock, and the bass around 2-3 oclock.

neck pickup, turn the volume down a little and roll off some off the tone control,

use a fair bit of gain, have the knobs as said earlier. i heard he used a tube screamer on an already slightly od amp, i've also heard he has a cocked wah in there, proably set more towards the lower end of the wah but i can't get that to work at all so just neck pickup into od unit into od amp

yeah, i think i finally got the perfect sound out of it biggrin.gif

use a pre-amp with : Treble : 3.5
Mid : 5
Bass : 7
then on your amp : Treble : 6.5
Mid : 8
Bass : 7.5

and use some od/distortion

that 'll do the trick smile.gif

Yea that's how I used to do it, except I left the wah part out most of the time as well.

(use humbuckers for this one)
