i found this amp and i thought it looked ok and it had a very good price
so can any one tell me if its any good

the MG30DFX is a great amp to practise on. but the price on the link you gave, is very high ($389.00) , for that price I can get the MG100dfx combo or head. but It can be that the price is normal for America. because I'm from Europe and I don't know $HIT about the prices in America, but I alway's tought that the gear (marshall, fender, gibson, ...) from america is much more cheeper than in Europe.

I noticed the link is to an Australian music shop.I've seen the same amp advertised in Aus for around $500 so that price seems reasonable.
$389 Aus =246 Euro
$389 Aus =302 US
$389 Aus =165 GBP

I payed about £140 for mine i think. Decent practise amp, does the job for me in my bedroom and I never get to turn it up past about 3 0r 4 on distortion. Can get some pretty nice tones out of it with a bit of fiddling and the built in ditrotion is nice and chunky althought I tend to use my BD2.

the marshall mg series aren't very good amps. i'm looking at this from an impartial view cause i don't like marshall amps, but seriously, they just don't sound real well. you can extract a good sound out of them, but they're honestly overpriced for what they are.

by no means a terrible amp, but there are better out there for the cost of one of the mg's.

not that great and fairly uninispiring....i bought one a while back, but when looking around at other amps in that price range i really like the hughes and kettner edition blue 30r, which is a great amp; i wish i had have bought the hughes and kettner instead....keep looking.

its a good amp for sitting at the end of your bed when you dont feel like sitting up to practice :yawwwn: theres not really a bad practice amp...unless its a drive or something
