So this new one quote thing is very annoying.
We want it tp be changed back to like is was before.
Preferably hapw it was way back when there was a limit to how long the quote chain was but instead of colapsing in a mess of tags it justdeleted the oldest posts in the chain.
And there was a much easier way to make the quote chain take up less space.
I noticed that there was alot of wasted space above the quotes so half te pages would be blankes from thequote layout.

there are no valid reasons beyond the sheer scope of laziness that would merit embedded quotes. really you cant just scroll up the page? why do you need more than one quote embedded within each other. you can still have a line of single quotes if you are truly mentally challenged and cant follow the simple scope of a line of ideas.

I gladly wave a flag in support of this proposal.

It's amusing that you're complaining about laziness when you only suggested this idea because you're too lazy to scroll down the page yourself.

Now I'm going to crawl back to Discussion. It feels strange in here.

Because it is a pain to have to go through several pages to follow a discussion.

I've already said, it's very useful for saving up inbox space.

Yup. Hate it.

I don't like the new quote rules, it makes it much harder to follow some conversations, and more of a hassle as well.

The limit should at least be raised. And what, if any, are your motives for getting rid of them, if not being too lazy to scroll down past them? It's even more annoying to have to scroll and search the page(s) for the begining of a discussion than it is to just scoot on past them.

what about them?

If you've had a lengthy conversation with someone via PM, you only needed to save the last message of the conversation, as all the quotes would be there. This meant you could delete all the the other PM's regarding said conversation, thus freeing up plenty of space in your in box. I think this is what Laura is getting at, as it's now bugging the hell out of me too.

I do see you're point, that a big list of embedded quotes can be quite annoying at times, but more often than not it's impractical to be rid of them.

Well, I like it.

I really don't enjoy scrolling down 4 miles of quotes just to see someone spam or completely fail to make any kind of valid point.

If i'm quoting someone, 99% of the time i'm quoting the last thing said, and would delete all previous superfluous comments.

It's cleaner, tidier, it's better.

I don't mind change when it's for the better.
Changes that makes stuff worse is counterproductive.
