Finally. It got home last week. I understood that the hd was faulty in a day, they required a week and a half. F*ckers.

So, like I already said, it was just a faulty disk. I arranged two partitions, a Windows and a Linux one, I hope everything'll run ok.

Sweet!! Good to hear it worked out for ya.
What version of Linux are you going to run??

Now that's a whole different issue. I've done many efforts to install Suse 10.1 and Ubuntu somethin', but it hasn't worked out. Many probs. Been around Linux forums, I'm too bored to start over.

Yeah fair enough can be a pain to get it running sometimes. Although, nowadays it pretty much does everything for you. I was running until I got my laptop. But have run Suse, Ubuntu and Red Hat before.
Anyway, good luck with it.

Dude he didn't ask your opinion on 512mb Ram. So why don't you keep it to yourself these kind of comments and the one you made in the acoustic forum about my guitar strings really add nothing. Next time you post in a forum why not try and actually answer the question at hand or at least add something to the topic.

He is right, though. 512 MB of RAM is really quite crap. Unless all he is going is basic functions.

Sure more RAM is better always has been the case and always will be.
But my point was the orignial post had nothing whatsoever to do with RAM. It is nirvanafan's prerogative to have however much RAM he wants.
It would be much more constructive to say 512mb ram isn't that much haven't you thought about getting more.
Rather than 512mb Ram = lame. I mean really what is the point of that.

Well the problem had been solved, thus turning this thread into a useless pile of junk.

Hey idiots, I said 2 BLOCKS of 512 RAM. That would mean that I have 1 GB RAM. Learn to read.
