I've recently purchased guitar pro 5 off of ebay and it was very easy to install except i can't see the tab. Everything seems to play fine but when i try to create my own tab the numbers won't show on the screen it just leaves a blank spot. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've uninstalled it several times and i uninstalled the original demo verson too. Even older guitar pro tabs i had saved show up blank that i know at one time had the tab in it
Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated

i downloaded GP5 last year and it worked fine from the get go. when i reformatted my computer and downloaded it again it worked fine again from a completely different source. my guess is that you've got a crummy source. get it from somewhere else would be my suggestion.

I have a similar problem. I downloaded it and installed it on my work PC and my home PC, but the one in work won't show up the numbers either so I wouldn't go looking for another source, as that obviously isnt the problem.

Go to C:\Windows\Fonts

There should be a file name Guitar Pro (<5) or Guitar Pro 5. Both are true type fonts.

If it's not there, the directory that you've installed Guitar Pro in should have a subdirectory called fonts, which contains the font. You can install the same by copying the file to C:\Windows\Fonts (as an Administrator preferably).

If you still can't find the font perhaps I can upload it.

the same thing happens when the trail version runs out. so maybe guitar pro is just not accepting it as a legal version since you bought it second hand, the other person could have registered or somethin, i dunno

I think I may have figured out how to fix this problem. At least it seems to have worked for me. I just upgraded to version 5.1. And it's running fine now.
