It's the one about 6 posts up. It looks like it's a standard vista desktop, but I'm unfamiliar with vista so it's cool to me.

Its Linux, not Vista does not look like Mac OS X with desktop icons like those, while Linux usually does. Plus the text is larger than what you would find with Windows.

Ubuntu is great, I like Linux over Windows for certain things, but I think that since you have to learn how to basically install programs using command line, its a much bigger learning curve then the simple point and click interface of Windows. I was using PCLinux for a while which is pretty neat, however there are hardware issues with most drivers not being compatible with Linux and that bothered me, I couldnt even use my wireless card.

Which is why I use ubuntu. EVERYTHING worked - from wireless card to bluetooth module, even my super duper graphics card - and all from fresh install, unlike XP - where you have to source down and download the drivers. Crappy...
Also, you said command line install - personally I prefer using command line install for certain things, but there is a graphical installer for stuff too - it just doesn't have the ######ty next next next interface you see on most windows installers.
There's the synaptic package manager - that does it all, with a guided user interface (GUI).

And if you do use command line, there's only two you need to know:
sudo aptitude search (software name), and also:
sudo aptitude install (software name)

I think the command line codes for PCLinux were different for installing programs, its a Debian based OS I believe.

So is Ubuntu - but yeah, they tend to vary a bit depending on the package manager installed - another common is sudo (or su) apt-get install.
I used PCLinuxOS a bit, didn't like it quite as much mind you...

New one, the picture is a little too small to be a desktop so its kind of pixelated, but I think it looks good.

You could probably get away with putting it regular size with a black background if you wanted.

Anyways, update:
