Yeah, no joke. The vast majority of blues-based rock music uses the pentatonic scale (i.e. blues scale). Ex: Angus Young, Jimmy Page, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Kirk Hammett, Joe Perry, etc etc etc etc etc...

Angus Young is infamous for the fact that all of his riffs sound very familiar. Same shit different key.

They might play the same ###### but in different key but they're the only band I know that can do something like that without getting boring.

I find they get boring. I can take it in some small doses but that whole "what four chords are we suing for this album" thing gets old.

Who the hell cares if they use only 4 chords, or Angus is playing the same old, same old. AC/DC is all about good ole fashion Rock and Roll, take it at face value, and enjoy, thats what they are all about, and i never tire of listening to them. I would sooner listen to them than some pretentious fret widdler. Rock and Roll makes me feel good, and that is what good music is all about.

I agree with Rick, Id rather listen to AC/DC than alot of fret wanker (to avoid further controversy I wont name names . . . Y.M.!) but I think that alot of their stuff gets boring after too long. Pink Floyd I can listen to a whole album, prefer it really. But I could never listen to a full album of AC/DC at one time. One song, definitely . . . two, sure . . . but after that . . .

99.99% of the time, he plays the Major pentatonic, Minor pentatonic, and Blues scales.

Im not a big fan of acdc either, i can take a couple songs in small doses but thats it really. I find the singer's voice to be utterly repulsive
