If a white bloke in combats gets arrested everyone will say its "PC gone mad" etc, but you won't find many people campaigning for Abu Hamza's freedom of speech.

Quite right too.

My point exactly. "I like freedom of speech but only if I agree with what you're saying"

Adds - I know what you mean, but surely from your point of view, he hasn't committed a crime. It doesn't matter if you're an immigrant to this country, you're still both subject to, and protected by, the rule of law, like anyone else.

Yes he hasnt really but i can see peoples point and i can see yours to. Id say no in my eyes if you live in a land that has free speech hes not commited a crime. Inly when he goes out and acts upon those thoughts is it a crime to me. The same goes for Griffin to and his incitement charge a while back. That was all wrong not only did he not do it as he didnt even mention race it was religious hatered he was guilty of which to my knowlege in this coutry isnt a crime anyway. To me nither of them should be charged because by making it a crime to say something whatever it is means there is no freedom of speech and i dont think we should take that away from anyone really.

So what actually is the aim of the petition then, if not to limit the BNP's right to free speech?

to voice opposition, you numpty.

So... pretty useless then.

Yeah, to hell with stating your opinion!

There was a paedophile in my halls of residence at uni. He seemed alright.

Those property programs never did take into account the space-time continuum.

Yeah, to hell with stating your opinion!

But the whole point of a petition is to try and effect change, by demonstrating significant public support/opposition to something to the relevant authority. This petition clearly can't do that at all.
