Please reply here with any bugs you find with the new software.
I have created a new topic for this since most of the bugs in http://www.guitarzon...howtopic=190809 have been fixed.
This will hopefully be less confusing. When a bug is confirmed I will add it to the list below. When it is fixed. I will cross it out

  • Links in posts do not open in a new window anymore FIXED: Now they open in new windows again
  • For some people the insert link/media/color buttons do not work well (with IE7, reported by woggie) Still investigating this...
  • The fast reply box loads slowly I think you just need a faster computer/connection/browser. Also you can just not use fast reply
  • There is no divider between pinned and regular topics Looking for a fix...
  • Should not be able to vote on own reputation FIXED: Self-rating is disabled
  • Clicking a forum from the drop down box at the bottom of the page should not require a click on "Go" Looking for a fix...
  • Can't quote people CHANGE IN STYLE: It works differently now. Just click "reply" below the post you want to quote.
  • Unable to post image in signature (reported by Claptonman) Still investigating this...
  • BUGS GO HERE

Thanks, :guitar:

It's not a bug, but maybe just a clean up approach. If you look in the discussion forum, there are numerous Pinned threads, and some pinned announcements. They each have their own section, are very space consuming. Since the Announcement thread titles are so short, would it be possible to put the pinned threads adjacent to them, up top?

Like:

|Regular Threads|

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if its intended (and it was also mentionned by Mantra in the discussion forum) when you select a forum from the dropdown menu at the bottom right now you have to click "Go" before this update there was no extra "click".

Fast reply box is still clunky to load, and there are still a load of blank posts beneath the fast reply box.

Also, I can't even see a quote button, but that may be specific to some users, or just me =)

Clicking on a link someone posted still doesn't open it in a new tab. I know you said it's fixed, but I don't think it is. At least, not for me.

It works for me. I just tested it with the Soundclick link in your signature and another link inside a post in another thread. It will open a new tab.

Is anyone else having this problem?

It works on the soundclick link for me too, but when I click the link in your first post at the top of this thread it doesn't.

If it is a link to another page on this same website (guitarzone.com), it will open in the same page.

Another oddity is the "View New Content" link. It shows the "Active content in the last 24 hours" like it should but sometimes it just shows a list of the most recent registered members.

I'm still having the same issues with IE, as well as an overall slower load time for all things forum related. these problems do not exist, however, when i use firefox.

i guess i know what browser to use when i want to be here then.

Okay, not sure if this is my browser's settings, but this keeps popping up when I refresh the page. A minor inconvience, but still. And I'm using Google Chrome.

Not a big deal and I'm not sure if it's just me but all the topics are showing '0 views' underneath the post count.

this is a bug for the whole system. it occurs for this version for the forum. it has been noticed on this version on many sites. its a glitch, as far as i know, that can not be fixed. luckily its nothing important.

The view counts are working now, and from what I can determine they were working behind-the-scenes even when the view counts were not being displayed, so something must have happened, since the view counts are working, which is fabulous . . .

Fabulous!
:)

P. S. I agree that seeing the view counts is not such a big deal, but I find it helpful as a way to determine whether something I post is interesting to other folks, and of course I like to Google myself, too . . . :D
