So I've finally gotten around to do some basic recording.
The big question now is this. Shall I use the soundcard that's integrated on my computer's motherboard (only thing I can find about it uses Realtek ALC889A codec) or do I use my old USB soundcard which is a Creative Sound Blaster Live 24-bit.
So which is best?

I dunno, best thing for you to would probably be to try both?
But are you planning on hooking instruments to the soundcard itself, or using a mic to pic up the amps, etc?

I've played with them for a bit and I get much lower latency with the external card so I'll use that.
I plan to both use a mic and run stuff straight to the line in.
