So what have you lot bought recently?

Bought vinyl stuff today, In Through The Out Door by Zeppelin, Starless and Bible Black + In The Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson, Fly By Night and Hemispheres by Rush, Are You Experienced? by Hendrix, The Very Best of The James Gang, News of the World by Queen, Some Enchanted Evening by Blue Oyster Cult, Sheik Yerbouti by Zappa and an autographed copy of Skyscraper by David Lee Roth (signed by Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan). I snagged a couple of records by The Planet Smashers on Friday night as well.

Cue debate: my soullessness versus your piety.

True, but it's all stuff I never owned, or only had digitally. When it comes to NEW music, the only recent album that has come out that I got was El Camino by The Black Keys, that's a good fucking record actually.

It's a solid album, which you can't say about many rock records today, the last good rock record I bought was Wasted Light and that was similar, lots of really solid tracks and a couple that are really awesome.

i agree very good albums (wasted light much so) but "great"? For a "great" rate-ing, i want more than a couple of awesome songs mixed in with some mearly good ones. i want to go on a mother fucking journey i wont return the same from (but with less fucking of mrs mummy wood - which if im frank would make it very much a replent experiance for me)

Well, I bought studio time. I'm sure that counts.
I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I get beligerant and mildly abusive. Stay thirsty, my friends.

I recently re-bought Dulcinea by Toad the Wet Sprocket... and am now remembering how great this record and band are.
