As I have no idea how much 16oz is in fluid terms (to be honest, I don't really know what it is for weight either. I be a scientist), I have no strong opinions one way or the other. Knowing America, it's probably a large bucket.

Ah, a pint. That's really not all that much. And as for pounds, I don't know how much that is in real terms either. People always say it's a bag of sugar, but I can't say I've held one of those for years anyway.

So a pound is about one litre of water divided by 2.2... See, isn't that much easier for everyone?

Damn Urey. Also, the state of the water is of consequence. Ice weighs infinitesimally more than liquid water.

I stopped watching the daily show years ago..so I didn't know.
Tax incentives for the fit probably wouldn't fly because it penalizes the unfit (read poor)

no no, tax intensives. meaning that if you are fat you still pay the same amount of taxes.

(liquid water is the standard of measure though)

I think its a good idea for children.. but if adults still want megaloads of soda they'll just go to the supermarket and buy a 3 liter bottle.

its not an increase of taxes so only stupid people and fox news will view it as such.

reminds me of a quote, "Before eating dessert children must eat a prerequisite of dinner. As adults, we have obtained enough credits to eat dessert whenever we want." - me
