So today I woke up at 5am to go to work. I show up to my coworkers house to pick him up and he doesn't come out, so I text him and he says "you're outside? holy shit I'll be down in a minute". He then goes on a spiel about how he was told he had to take the bus to work and not have me drive him today because I wasn't supposed to go in today. Usually when that is the case, I get a text from my foreman the night before... So I text my foreman, "What's going on?" He says no work for me today, drop the coworker off and head home. I ask why, he says I dunno. I ask why he didn't tell me. He uses Convenient Technological Failure Excuse. I go home. So on the drive I decide I had better call the owner of the company. No answer. Three times. So I text him, a little more than annoyed, asking why no work for me today? He texts back "I'll call you in a bit". I wait three hours, very anxiously, before he calls. He bitches at me for ten minutes about how I'm not performing up to standards, and how my foreman says I barely do any work and I just stand around all day, and I have a negative attitude. I do what I always do when confronted: back down and kiss ass. Sure enough, he says I'm on my last chance and I should do better and I assure him that I will. Within an hour of that phone call, I've found another job, with better pay, steadier hours, starting thursday, and the new boss is more lenient about my school schedule. I call my old boss and tell him to suck an egg, fatty and I'll pick up my paycheck next week.. He was not impressed.

Also, 5 is early. I dont even like 6. Waking at 7 is where its at - I've been able to do that most days this week cause its school holidays woohoo.

5am is a good time to get up, but you have to go to bed pretty early to get your 8 hours of sleep. I usually get 5 or 6.

How the hell are you people sleeping for 8 hours? I find anything more than 7 just makes me wake up feeling more tired than when I went to sleep in the first place.

I generally don't get the chance to sleep more than 7 or 8 hours, but when I do I'll easily sleep for 12+. I call those "Good Days".
