Simple...what was your first guitar? Many options here.

The guitar the Herr learnt on, but didn't own, was a 30 year old classical guitar with the back held on with parcel tape. Genuinely it took three weeks before he learnt how to tune it. Learnt from the book "Learn Guitar" by Donovan. The guitar was then passed on to his best chum, who learnt on it too.

First electric guitar: 2001 Squier Strat, two-tone tobacco sunburst, gift.
First guitar bought/acoustic: Encore acoustic. Fecking awful to play now.

Guitars are good. C'est tout.

My first guitar was a...thing. My sister owned it. She wouldn't ever let me touch it. It got shipped off to my cousins rather than let me ever get my filthy paws on it. She got it back after a while, ruined. It was a hideous thing. You could have driven a bus between the fretboard and the strings. After much sibling-rage, I finally got it, strung it left handed and a lesbian tuned it for me and I started having lessons.

First one I bought myself was a Yamaha Pacifica.

<insert obligatory g-string joke>

Good to see your still exist, Fox.

Lesbians are tricky. The Herr went to a house party hosted by lesbians in Manchester and one of them kidnapped the Herr's chum and offered him crack in the toilet. As in the drug. Then again they did have a house-bunny called Monty (a name shared with the Herr, at times), who happened to have a cowboy hat, which had ear holes in it. Incidentally, that specific party the Herr played his first 12-string, an evening of many epiphanies.

It was a child's guitar. Very small, and almost untunable.

Black Fender Strat as part of a starter kit. Man, I need to get me one of them tiny amps again so I can pimp into the room with a theme song.

First guitar paid for out of my own pocket was an Epiphone acoustic autographed by Daughtry. I bargained it down to 125 from 300 because it was signed by Daughtry. I later sold it for 80 because it was signed by Daughtry. The moral of the story being, Daughtry can go fuck themselves for ruining a swell guitar.

IT was an old Eko acoustic, belonging to my dad. I still have it.

My first electric was an Encore start-lookalike-thingy. I still have that too.

I remembered the named. It was a Laramie guitar, which sounded like a fictional brand of cigarettes.

My brother went to school in Laramie. He hated it. Incidentally, Metallica mentioned that they also hated it in the liner notes to Kill 'em All.

I started on bass. It was a Dinosaur brand PJ, dark blue (initially). I painted it white, did a pretty good job. They I tried to paint it lime green and it looked like dick so I broke it into a million pieces.

First GUITAR was a Rogue acoustic jobby. It sounded alright, actually, just needed an action adjustment.

My yamaha F-310 was painted a dark blue, with the Yellow Submarine painted on it, by me when I was 16 or 17.... Sounds like shit compared to the Seagull my wife has, but it's still fun to play

So yeah, now that I know how to paint, I'd like to redo the whole thing, sanding in between coats of finish, redoing all the line in the submarine.
