A musician, I suppose. Whether or not you like their music, who would be interesting to meet and fun to get drunk with? I choose Dave Grohl.

Shit man, I don't know. Most of my relationship with music is with the actual music and not the people behind it. For all I know, everyone I can think of may not even drink, y'know? Or I'll loathe their politics or something and end up making them punch me in the face. If anyone were to punch me in the face though, I'd want it to be Emilie Autumn. I be like "damn...those crazy talented hands just tuned my ass up".

Pretty much everyone, sans bierre (for me anyway).  I'm not fussy.

Paul McCartney, Ringo, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, John Frusciante, Michael Stipe, Mike Mills, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Frank Black, Kim Deal.

Ok the list goes on, I'm just going to stop listing everyone. But still, everyone.

I know who most of those musicians are. The ones I didn't recognize, I looked up, and I listen to the bands they are in, but didn't know their names. Good choices.

The problem can be when you actually meet one of your rock heroes.

I met James Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire after a Manics show in Cardiff - it was a small gig at the Student Union and my friend lived around the corner so we hung round.  We were the only boys there (I would say men, we were 20 but utterly boyish), the rest were screaming girls. So James & Nicky sign ticket stubs (I still have mine somewhere....might have to dig it out) and we ended up talking to Nicky - and I found myself unusually speechless.  I ended up asking him what kind of bass he played because I couldn't find it on the internet and he talked about how that was intentional and then some other stuff which I have forgotten and suddenly it was over.

I'd love to sit down with Paul McCartney - but every question has already been asked, he's almost become a caricature of himself.  I'd just end up doing a Chris Farley interview:

'Paul....?'

'Yes Chris.'

'You remember the White Album?'

'Yes Chris'

'That was freaking awesome!'

Sigh.

LOL!

A dude I work with is apparently super famous right now - but lowkey. Like, he doesn't really talk about it, but I keep seeing him on TV and hearing his music on the radio. I would drink a beer with him and make him sign a card that said "James helped me fix my motorcycle's carburetor". Then later when kids are like "oh remember viriginia to vegas" I'll be like "look at this card". And then I'll drink more beer.
