Ok folks. I'm looking to get a pair of blue tooth headphones. Basically for 2 purposes. First of all I want to be able to listen to the telly through them. However, the telly is pretty old and isn't equipped with blue tooth. As far as I can tell, theres a type of transmitter you can get which basically turns your telly into a......well, a blue tooth enabled telly. Is this correct? The telly has a headphone socket and a USB socket if this is any use.

The other purpose would be so i could listen to music from my phone.

I'm looking for over the ear type headphones. I'm not one of these "must be perfect quality" people. As long as they are half decent thats good enough for me. Cheap and cheerful is the order of the day.

Normally I'd be able to pick something myself, but the need for the transmitter makes it a but more complicated.

Thoughts?

I use bluetooth in my car. I really have no idea how it works, but it is awesome. I'm sure if you log into a tech forum there's a ton of info on the transmitters you mentioned. Unless your TV is 10+ years old there should be a connections of some description available.
