Hi everyone. I'm new in the forum and your opinions could save from making a mistake. I am about to buy a bass guitar for my son for his 14th birthday at the end of this month. He just started playing a borrowed Samick old one a few weeks ago. His fingers are very weak at this moment so the one I buy must be as comfortable as possible. I have two offers near my area, both used and for the same price (US$ 230):
1.-Ibanez GSR250 WNF (comes with a VOX Pathfinder 10 amp)
2.- Yamaha RBX 170 (comes with a Laney HCM15B and a hard case)

I'd appreciate your advice tell me which one is a better choice considering a comfortable neck, sound, built quality and the amplifier included of course. The hard case is not very important to me.

Pd: excuse my english, it's just self-learned.

I play a bit of bass and have a couple of bass guitars, but I'm not really a "bass-player." I'm not familiar with those specific instruments, but generally I would think the Ibanez with the Vox would be the better choice. Hopefully other members here who are bass-players and more familiar with those instruments can give you more advice.

And welcome to GuitarZone.
