Steve Vai - Alien Love Secrets

Only seven tracks but this was an an album that held some of Steve Vai's greatest hits and the album captured great guitar work. the album was released in 1998. Steve worked on this project in between the not so great album Sex and Religion and a succesful album in Fire Garden.

The first track is one of Steves best guitar works he recorded as a solo artist. "Bad Horsie" gives you the first dose of Steve Vai's amazing guitarwork on this short album.

The next track titled 'Juice' also is a great work of guitar art. it sometimes is argued that it is Vai's hardes song to play but when it comes to Vai's soulful and amazing playing its hard to say that for sure.

Also one of my favourite song by Vai is recorded on this album. 'Tender Surrender' is a song with great emotion in the sound of it. Stev plays it wonderfully. it combines soft, melodic riffs and shred licks in a wonderful guitar masterpiece.

the other songs on this album are also greatly enjoyed by Vai fans. And for seven tracks it is a great album. Listen for yourself and you'll find youself going back again and again to hear how Vai does his masterful guitar work. Also you can check out the Alien Love Secrets DVD which has some good footage and other interesting things for any Vai fan. If you're into an instrumental guitar masterpiece youve got it. I give it an 8.5 out of 10 rating. One of Vai's best. Steve Vai rules!
