"Ruby Soho" by Rancid for me. not complicated, quite easy to learn, but it flows well with the song. plus, i like Rancid so that just adds to it tongue.gif

Not even close Mahrous. Chic - you know, Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers? Le Freak? Everybody Dance?
Ok - click here then. You know, they are always labelled as a disco band - but we're talking serious funk here.

One of my favourite songs ever, though my favourite Rancid bassline is 'International Cover-up'. I'm liking 'Liquor Store' and 'All My Best Friends are Metalheads' by Less than Jake, and a lot of the Parliament lines right now.

One of the best bass lines gong around. Often credited to James Jamerson, this great bass line was actually played by Wilton Felder.

Wilton Felder is prob one of the best studio bassists, next to Victor Bailey. you know i might have to ask as a topic question who is better: Victor Bailey, Victor Wooten, or Wilton Felder?

ok ok, i dont mean to be rude cg but, can everyone please ignore the 'who is better' question please (i know i said please twice). those questions often lead to silly arguements which have to be cleaned up, which is a royal pain in the arse!!

on another note, welcome to the bass q&a cg. hope you stick around, we're a decent bunch (except for the drewmeister) tongue.gif biggrin.gif
