It is not really an A chord. There is no C or C# for the minor or major third.
It is definitely a G 6/9 chord- G B D E A
And you could say that it is also an E minor 11, though it does not contain an F# or 9th.
No the "EADGBE" that was just written above the chord fingering to indicate what strings were being played. These are not the notes of the chord. The notes in the chord are E E A C B E.
