I dig pretty much everything from the first record. Though I dig Eddie's playing quite a bit and kind find stuff I dig from all their records. I have every Van Halen record from the first one through For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Although I really dig the tunes on the first record I think his best playing is on Fair Warning.

Its not techniquely a song. it was a solo that eddie did in live shows, and his producer just said "roll Tape" and eddie said "hey what ever man" and recorded it in one take.

That's right. He even made a few mistakes which he pointed out. It always sounded fine to me though.

Thats was back in the day when, he didn't know he could ask to re-record it.
