It's great to see you can get so much free time to practice. Thats the key to becoming a great player. I'm lucky if I can get 4 hours in a week.

As for your fingers, the same thing happened me after about 10 years playing.

Someone already mentioned hand lotion. I'll second that. I used it and after a fortnight or so it made a huge diference.

I don`t overestimate the time I play. I play 1-2 hours before going to school. About 3 hours when I get home then 2 hours later in the day and maybe one hour at night.

Pain is just weakness leaving your body.

How poetic...

But yeah, just take a little break man. I'm getting to that point where playing guitar is always on my mind and when I have free time, it's all dedicated to playing. So on days when I don't have much going on, I'll play for 5-6 hours and by the time I'm done my fingers killllllll. I was forced away from playing for a day and when I picked it up again I noticed everything was crisper, smoother, and a lot more natural feeling, plus the pain was gone. Taking a break is good for technique, as well as the pain, so it'll do you some good. Just grab a guitar world magazine and educate/practice that way.
