Well, I have a 1986 Peavey Patriot that I got for $200, but it was my first guitar, so it holds more importance to me than an expensive vintage guitar. Although, not too many more years and you could probably call it vintage.

I have an '81 Ibanez Blazer I got from my dad. He spent maybe $400 or so. Don't know what it might cost now, but it's worth a lot more than $400.

I have two fairly expensive guitars, an ESP custom shop guitar I purchased fairly cheap from Stephen Carpenter (deftones guitarist) that if I were to have it made for me by ESP would cost around $4500 and I have a gibson custom shop 1958 les paul gold top reissue that would list for around $5500 but you could find at guitar center for around $3500. I have a martin D-18 too but it's pretty worn and not that old, right now I could probably get a grand for but in twenty it years it could be worth a bit. I have a cool 1970 japanese made epiphone double cut that's pretty nice but I have no idea how much it's worth.

I recently sold a homemade guitar body for $1500.

Which is cool because it wasn't even finished, didn't even have the neck on it yet.
And I've never actually built a guitar that I didn't have to destroy because it didn't play right.

Think I'll start carving another one. I think I'm on to something here.

I think dadfads going to win this one hands down,

laugh.gif Thanks, Adam. Yes, I have several. Most didn't cost a whole lot of money when I got them, but because I bought them so long ago over the years they have become considered vintage collectible guitars worth many times what I paid for them (some thirty or forty times what I paid originally). I've bought several fairly expensive ones too, the most expensive was around $7000, but even that one is now worth about $14,000 or so.

What job do you have?

edit: you don't have to answer if you don't want. It's alright. cheers.gif
