jaguar
mustang
or jagstang i cant decide
Let the pretend take over
And that season be the first
Shadows we're in become us
So we set up interspersed
Between here and away
Become your space every day

Telecaster. In particular, the Teles based on the old teles of the '50's/'60's.

Question: Are the necks on the reissues really chunky?

I've never played one, but my tele has a really thin neck...

The vintage-series has fairly big necks. I tested a whole bunch of tele's when I went hunting for mine, and the 52RI probably has the biggest of all of them. It's a preference-thing: being used to my strat, I like big, rounded necks more than flat slim ones.

My first guitar was a Tele - black with white pickguard. Her name is Kate and I love her dearly.

HMB approves - an excellent guitar. However, I would perhaps go for the Vintage '52 RI myself given a free choice of any production Tele.

The stratacoustic, plays easily like an electric, with a beautiful acoustic tone.

This thread makes me ponder all the Teles I wouldn't mind owning - not good for the old GAS. One for standard, one for Open-G, one for taking places where I don't want to leave the best ones lying around, one for the office.......

Oh yeah, replace those cheap plastic pins with brass pins, you will hear a huge difference. biggrin.gif
