I'm thinking about making custom strap locks. I'm going to drill a hole in a fifty cent piece. Would the factory screws that's in there be long enough to still be firmly in the body without messing anything up?

Fiffty cent peice...where do you live?
Let the pretend take over
And that season be the first
Shadows we're in become us
So we set up interspersed
Between here and away
Become your space every day

We had them at one time. I have been to the US and never got one of these peices unsure.gif . Why do you want to make your own straplocks? Why not just buy some quality ones from a store?

You can go to a bank and get them, generally people dont carry them around.

And as to making his own, well these would only cost him a dollar to make, maybe a $1.50 if he has to get longer screws. Straplocks arn't expensive, but a $1.50 is cheaper.

I didn't know those were in circulation.

I'd just use gaffer tape meself if the situation arose.

This all reminds me of Eddie Van Halen's old quarter he has on his frankinstein.

What? I have a 1936 mojo pick and when I bought it they didn't say anything about it being illegal. I doubt that I'm going to get arrested for drilling a hole in two 50 cent pieces it might be possible but it's doubtful.
