I have a sticker on my tremolo plate that I want to keep from getting scratched up. So I sprayed five coats of crystal clear enamel. I now know that wasn't the way to go I wish that I had have used varnish. My question is can I spray varnish over the clear coat without it messing up? What would be the best way to do this?

Thanks

Stevie left his back open and used 5 springs FYI.

I wouldnt woory its just a sticker, they are cheap and easy to replace.

On my strat to keep some of my stickers on my pickguard I sprayed some clear finish from a can , and it works fine. Just put a few coats of clear finish on.

I used lacquer finish for mine and I put enough coats on it that it doesn't get scratched up or cracks.
I am very prone to typos, sorry

A google search will tell you more.

But it is just a cover for your tremolo cavity. It dosent have much purpose, most people take their's off, like me.
