Yeah, that's another one that Neal blasphemed against.

And Urban Hymns.

I hereby propose a motion to have Neal declared "rubbish".

You've got almost every single one of those in the wrong category Neal.

Balls. With your small taste in music you're a fine one to talk.

QUOTE (dorio @ Feb 21 2008, 04:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Are ye serious??? *shock*

You never heard "Hunky Dory" "Ziggy Stardust" "Wish You Were Here" "Exile On Main Street" and "Let It Bleed?"

Yep. Never heard them.

QUOTE (el_burton @ Feb 21 2008, 04:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm more worried by how he categorised the ones he has allegedly heard.

Allegedly?

QUOTE (dorio @ Feb 21 2008, 04:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Neal says "The Queen Is Dead" "Never Mind The Bollocks" and "Rubber Soul" is pure garbage. (And he doesn't like Coldpaly laugh.gif)

I don't like punk. Some loser onstage screaming about how he want's to become a revolutionary does nothing for me.

And I also don't like bands that send me to sleep. (Although I have heard Coldplay are a different band live.)

QUOTE (el_burton @ Feb 21 2008, 04:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yeah, that's another one that Neal blasphemed against.

It's not blasphemy. It's a crap album. And yes, I have listened to it.

It's not all about mainstream you know. Alex probably likes about 10 or 20 bands.

You haven't heard "Hunky Dory" "Ziggy Stardust" "Wish You Were Here" or "Exile On Main Street". Your opinion is invalid.

Yeah, but you're accusing me of having a "small" taste in music, then admitting you haven't heard some of the most famous albums of all time. As for your other previous idiotic comment, I listened to songs by more than ten different bands on my way to Tesco and back.

Best form of defence is attack, eh?

QUOTE (dorio @ Feb 21 2008, 03:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
To mark 50 years of great British music, Q magasine and hmv asked the readers to pick their three favourite British albums of the last 50 years (released between 1958 and 2008) here are the results: http://promo.q4music...eed.shtml#album

1. Definitely Maybe - Oasis
2. (What's The Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis
3. OK Computer - Radiohead
4. Revolver - The Beatles
5. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
6. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
7. London Calling - The Clash
8. Under The Iron Sea - Keane
9. Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd
10. Urban Hymns - The Verve
11. The Bends - Radiohead
12. Abbey Road - The Beatles
13. Hopes And Fears - Keane
14. Don't Believe The Truth - Oasis
15. Violator - Depeche Mode
16. The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
17. A Night At The Opera - Queen
18. Whatever People Say I Am - Arctic Monkeys
19. The White Album - The Beatles
20. Never Mind The Bollocks - Sex Pistols
21. Rubber Soul - The Beatles
22. Be Here Now - Oasis
23. Absolution - Muse
24. Rio - Duran Duran
25. Parklife - Blur
26. A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Coldplay
27. The Holy Bible - Manic Street Preachers
28. Origin Of Symmetry - Muse
29. IV - Led Zeppelin
30. The Wall - Pink Floyd
31. Up The Bracket - The Libertines
32. X&Y - Coldplay
33. Who's Next - The Who
34. Black Holes And Revelations - Muse
35. Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
36. Songs Of Faith And Devotion - Depeche Mode
37. Word Gets Around - Stereophonics
38. The Fat Of The Land - Prodigy
39. Different Class - Pulp
40. In Rainbows - Radiohead
41. Hunky Dory - David Bowie
42. Favourite Worst Nightmare - Arctic Monkeys
43. Everything Must Go - Manic Street Preachers
44. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
45. Behaviour - Pet Shop Boys
46. Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
47. Parachutes - Coldplay
48. Exile On Main Street - Rolling Stones
49. Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division
50. Let It Bleed - Rolling Stones

No Kinks no Jam no T Rex No Cream no Eric Clapton no John Mayal no Genesis - Although the Beatles have more albums than Oasis in that list (Beatles = 5 Oasis = 4) The surprise was Oasis are number one and two of the poll though I'd rather it was Oasis than the Libertines and Simply Red. As for the Stones they roll terribly low - Pink Floyd is number nine with Dark Side Of The Moon after the Clash and Keane. Uh!
