I haven't actually gotten much time into it because its impossible to get some alone time with the 360, but from what i've played, its pretty sweet. i know all you other nerds got it, what do you think.

It's out now? Why wasn't I informed? I look forward. I will be getting Fallout 3 this week.

Meh, I was never impressed with the first one, and there are better RPG's available for older consoles that I am still playing.

Last console I played was the n64 . . . . and I still wish I had stuck with the SNES.
Everybody's bragging and drinking that wine
I can tell the Queen of Diamonds by the way she shine
Come to Daddy on an inside straight
I got no chance of losing this time
No, I got no chance of losing this time

I've had a go at it. It doesn't come anywhere close to Oblivion. Anywhere.

I've always thought Fable had a funner combat system than Oblivion. The kind where you lock on, roll around, block and act cool dodging their every move. On Oblivion I just spammed magic or slashed wildly.

It's button mashing either way when you think about it. Oh well, in World of WarCraft you just spam one spell if you are a mage or a warlock cause thats all people are good at, cause they fear melee classes steam rolling them in 3-5 hits like I do biggrin.gif

Speaking of which, 3 weeks till Wrath of the Lich King comes out, I can't wait for the expansion and the new Death Knight class.

Smashy, nobody gives two shits about World of Warcraft. Why do you always do this in game threads? You just come in and start talking about whatever completely uninteresting game you happen to be playing at the moment.

Fable 2 is awesome. Definitely has everything that was not delivered in the first one. Only thing I don't like is being unable to skip cut scenes. And the lack of longbows. Crossbows and guns are lame.

And Smashy, f*ck WoW, really, it's just lame.

+1 to Darke's comment

I heartily recommend it for everyone, fiends and heros alike. You can command your dog to urinate on people. I mean come on. Targeted urination people. That's the future.

plus f*cking 1.

I've decided to be good for a change. Not as satisfying as one would think. Can't kill shop owners, can't kill your spouse, can't wipe out the town. Basically, killing just hobbes and bandits doesn't cut it.

How so? If it's not about combat (and raising your character through combat) you might as well be playing The Sims.

Sure there's some element of combat involved, but the game as a whole is about solving quests. Some of them require combat, some don't.

But quests can't be the reason to play the game. They're a means to an end. I know I personally didn't care about the quests themselves, but what they would give me afterwords. When people talk about Oblivion they frequently mention how they never (or not for the longest time) did the main story quests, so the story isn't the reason for playing.

I think the reason people play is to build a character from nothing to something. And most of the time the gauge of an awesome character is combat.
