I read that the Earth is actually flat. Therefore the world really actually is flat, and if you try to tell me I'm wrong you're a wanker. A dirty liberal rotten wanker. Now go throw out some dog food tins for me to sort.

Yes. Beer is what makes a country good. It's too bad that America is crap because our beer has less alcohol content than those of Canada and England.

Actually, this embodies the problem. While alcohol content does inevitably affect flavour and a higher content makes a beer taste richer, the problem with American beer is taste, or rather the lack of it. The fact that you note first the difference in acohol content is indicitative of the fact that you care less about the taste, a hence have worse beers.

That said, it's not just beer. Most foreigners who visit America will never go grocery shopping but if they did they'd note the extremely odd taste a lot of American produce has (excluding high class supermarkets like Wegman's). It's all a bit sweet, which is extremely odd and offputting if you've not grown up with it.

I'm in no way a fan of beer, so you will not see me defending the taste of American beer, or any other beer for that matter.

I don't ever remember Smashy accusing someone he disagrees with of being a "liberal." In fact, I think most of his political views are pretty liberal themselves.

I'm thinking that this thread should have been closed as soon as it started...but it doesn't seem Smashy has a problem with it.
