I can totally relate with you. One of my cats died recently (2 weeks ago actually) and I was feeling too sad to share this with the world. I guess its done now. Yes its hard.

but you'll never forget the fun times you had.

Damn right!

It's sad when a pet dies, but... come on, poetry? Ugh.

Yeah, I can pretend to be the hardened robot we all like to portray here, but I feel oddly lonely today. I can lace the original post in sarcasm to better suit the GTU mood?

I rather like poetry btw

That's all fine and dandy.

But with the greatest respect to your pet (and to you) it's just an animal. I know "to each their own" and all that, but while I may be wrong, I would have thought that most people on here would have considered a poem a bit over the top.

Your poem comes from the heart therefore it is valuable. Always do what you feel you must do.

Yeah

I'm not going to sit here and debate what is appropriate or "over the top", it seems silly.

It's funny, "just an animal" really can be a lot more to some given different circumstances.

This is complete ridiculous to some, maybe others can relate... either way its a sad day for mr. anapestic and maybe I got a little too personal on a forum.

Yeah, I appreciate it. Its okay to be human sometimes.

For ######s sake, I've mourned the loss of a coin before because of the value it had to me.

To some, its a ######ty cheap coin, to me, its a piece of my world. Again, some of you can relate, some can't.

Like I said, I got a little too personal on a forum and text on a screen seems a little silly, but I needed some kind of interaction as I feel lonely.

Edit: when did the censors come back! ######

Like I said it happened to me recently and didnt feel the need to share my loss. It was a deep cut. But as you did feel the need to share I think you dont have to justify yourself to anyone.

A man goes to the doctor. Says he's depressed. He says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. The doctor says "The treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him, that should pick you up." The man bursts into tears. He says "But doctor... I am Pagliacci."
