Sorry for the recent downtime!
Please reply here with any problems or comments you have regarding the new verison of the forums.

I know that the logo and the forum appearance don't match but that's a low priority for now. I'd like to make sure everything is working first.
Also, there are many new features...

Hi,
Just checking things out, do we not have avatars anymore? Also, the little clock at the bottom of the window isn't there anymore either. Otherwise I think it looks good, going to explore the new features now.

Hi, I still see avatars but I don't see a clock. I think the clock is gone but I may be able to find a way to bring it back.

Are you not seeing avatars?

Well, my "new" avatar, is what was my profile pic. Before we had an avatar and a profile pic, but no biggie really.
The new layout is quite like facebook, seems a bit more interactive than it was before, and its nice to be able to jump to the last unread post, I recall having that feature before, maybe 2 upgrades ago...

Looks very good and it obviously will take sometime to get used to it. Just noticed that the drop down menu that allowed you to jump to other forums from any thread, is also missing.

I'm liking the look of the new place. I'll second the problem with the avatars. My avatar is also showing up as my profile pic, but I can see everyone elses avatars.

Also, you can now ignore certain signatures. This should keep Alex happy, with his stone age dial up speed conection not being able to display animated GIFs fluently.

During the upgrade it mentioned that this version of the software will try to use only one image per user (either avatar or a thumbnail version of the profile photo). I chose avatars for it to use. I think I did not have the permissions set correctly for some files when I ran the tool. That led to some avatars not being readable and, I think, the software fell back to the profile photo in those cases. I'm not sure if that makes sense to you guys but the lose of some avatars may be my fault. Keep in mind I have backups for everything so I would be able to get an avatar from a backup in the case anyone REALLY needs their old avatar. I would figure that would be the case only if they have no other way of getting that image back themselves (from the web, or their own hard drive)

And, yes, the ignore settings are great!

The topic description feature is also missing, and I'd like to point out that it's a major inconvenience for a forum like the album reviews as the albums are sorted by artists (topic title) and album names (topic description). Any chance you can fix that too?

Yes, we definitely need that back. The lessons forum uses the same format, and it's a mess without it.

Also I guess this new version is too nice since we can't -1 posts anymore. We can only like things. Don't know how well that will go over with some of our more bitter and jaded members.

I just noticed that posts before the forum change that had special characters in them are now boxes with letters in them. Don't think it will be too big of an issue because they were rarely used before. Not a lot of need for umlauts around here.

Top right of the page to the right of "View New Content" is an upside down tear drop with a hole in it. Click it.

Which reminds me there used to be a "back to the top" button in the old version. See what I've done, this version is so cool the last one is already "the old version" for me.

I don't like the colour scheme. Blue is so icky. Can I change it? Also, Tab Enter doesn't work for posting anymore. I DONT WANNA CLICK THINGS.
