That's a nice looking guitar, but sometimes you get what you pay for. But that's a good price if ur just looking for something to mess around on. I don't know anything about that particular guitar, tho.
Hey. I have been playing guitar for about 3 years now, and I have been thinking about getting a bass to just mess around on. This one seems ok: http://www.musicians...ELAID=806602988 Is it? And how would playing a bass different would a bass be from a guitar?
As for what is different, pretty much everything except the tuning. You don't play chords, although you will still play arpeggios. You can follow the root notes that the guitar is playing if you want to, but that's for bassists who aren't interested in being very good. You'll be responsible for playing the changes, and you'll need to learn how to do that. You also might want to learn music theory. You will also belong to the rhythm section, which means you'll have to play to the drums much more than the guitarist does. You have to really stand out to be noticed.
