Stratocaster. I have two LP's. I'm selling one on ebay. I have 6 Strats and would like more. My best Strat is a Japanese Squier.

I'm trying to reduce it. There's some guys round here with far more impressive collections than mine. Have a look at Misterhat and Dadfad. Scarey collections.

The epi has had some new pups this week. Bare knuckle. I like it a lot, but it's tricky live cus it feads back a lot.
I'm glad you said the light brown one cus that's one I made. The tele is early 60's. Probably the most valuable guitar there.
The Sg is great. I preffer it to the LP, but they both play great, it's just that the LP is very Rock and that's not what I play.
My main guitar isn't there. Rickenbaker fireburst.

The Black Westone next to the LP does everything the LP does, only better. The Gold LP is much better, but it's much older.

I've always had a preference for Strats and Strat-esque (in terms of body shape, scale length etc) guitars. First guitar was a Strat and then I subsequently went down the route of 'super-strats' (Ibanez, Jackson and the like). I think even the first guitar I remember playing was a Pacifica. Whilst I appreciate the quality and sound of a decent LP, I've just never seemed to get on as well with them personally as I have with Fenders.

In terms of guitarists who have influenced me / who I like the most I'd say there's an even balance between LP and Strat players, so I'm not sure there's been too much of a bias in that respect, it's come down to my experience of playing the things.(If the first guitars I'd ended up playing had all been LP-style would that have made a difference?)

Fender all the way, i find Gibson far to overated for the price, and have been a constant disapointment. My favorite in my collection is a Fender Telecaster with 3 pickups, it has a humbucker in the neck. I however own an Epiphone Les paul, and i recently bought an Epiphone SG, to replace the Gibson SG i sold. and dollar for dollar, i prefer the Epiphone, coz it sounds just as good, and plays just as well as the Gibbo.I have 7 Fender type guitars, a recently purchased Fender Jaguar, a Fender Strat, and a Fender Telecaster, and 4 home built Strats.

I haven't seen an HMB post in a while!

I prefer Strats hands down. I've never played an LP that I found comfortable. I used to have a double humbucker equipped mahogany body Tele. Honestly, it sounded just like an LP for half the weight and 100x the comfort. Unfortunately I lost it to a pawn shop while unemployed a few years back. I hope to replace it in a few years.

How much are you looking for for the LP, Dave?

I've offered it to someone for 450 but they haven't reply'd yet. Obviously, you'd get a better deal.
