So, a couple of weeks ago I watched Rogue One, quite liked it. Annoyingly the theater had a fire alarm 5 minutes before the end and I missed the ending, which I then watched on youtube (like you do). I'm not really a Star Wars nerd - i'd seen all the films once, and only once and basically know the pop culture references and that's it. Having enjoyed Rogue One my wife and I watched the original trilogy which was good fun.
We them made the mistake of deciding to watch the prequels to complete the set and Phantom Menace is utterly unwatchable. Literally, couldn't make my way through it. I thought perhaps time has been kind, and she has not. The kid playing Annakin is horrendously bad, whilst the less said about Jar-Jar and the 'Herrro' Asian aliens the better. Christ.
There's no point other than complaining about how utterly terrible Phantom Menace was. Who knew a movie that starts with a scroll talking about trade federations would be terminally dull, eh?
