Sup dudes n dudettes. Not a fan of this quarantine. Thought it’d b an introverts dream but I’m bored AF. I miss sports the most. I hope khabib Tony happens even if in Antarctica. I miss gym. I had finally started getting my swimming form right. Still doing music but my voice has been shot for weeks so cpl bars of signing n start hating my tone. I’ve lost that crisp/breathy delivery. Feel something lodged in throat n been doing salty gargles (grow up!). But I’m done with 7 songs was hoping to have 10. Might just send out 7. But yeah working on music. Tryina read more. Cooking as well. Starting to enjoy nice quiet walks.

Working from home blurring the much coveted work/life balance I had. But I shouldn’t complain. Atleast employed. How is everyone? This is almost 20 years of being on this site. Crazy. I remember when I was a young one needing guitar advice. Thanx for all ur help.

Here’s a track. Enjoy this y’all: https://soundcloud.c...l/s-2IXc49gfbGh

Hello!

I’m doing okay. Bored, frustrated, a little bit of cabin fever? Of course. But also appreciating I’m pretty lucky - I’m still on full pay at work despite my store being closed, I have plenty to do at home between chores, music, movies, books, games. I can’t wait to get out for an expensive meal and enjoy every second of it though

I will have been out for a month when I return to work on Monday. I don't do as well without a consistent schedule so it's been kind of hard in the sense that my quality of sleep has been suffering as I stay up late and then sleep late but it's still not enough sleep. I also have a harder time monitoring my diet. I get bored-hungry quite easily and I have a hard time working through my cravings as there's no real incentive to keep myself from indulging. My job is also quite physical in the sense that on a slow day, I'm basically walking back and forth for six or seven hours and on a busy day, it's a workout on top of that. So without all of that stuff my body is kinda like, "What the fuck?" and I'm like, "You're the one that's choosing what to do with all the calories, bud. You figure it out."

I also tend towards the extroverted side of things. I've been lucky in that a lot of my friends have been willing to text or Skype and Zoom. I've gotten together physically a couple of times with my best friend which is a breech of social distancing but he and I need face-time from time to time. I live with my brother as well so I can basically speak with him as needed if I go stir crazy.

Where I live is a destination of sorts for outdoors-y activities, but up until two days ago the weather was piss. It's getting REALLY nice all of a sudden though. Nearly 70 degrees today. The mountains and forests have never looked more alluring. I'll have to go out and take advantage of it over the next couple days. Won't be much time once I get back to work. :/

On shitty days, I've been passing my time by learning songs and posting videos of them. I don't really like covering songs and I'd rather be working on originals, but there's no opportunity to get together and practice with either of my bands, and two out of my three projects have albums that are being either mixed and mastered or packaged for release, so I've been kind of burnt out on working on new shit lately.

I'm on job-attached unemployment. I've gotten two weeks worth and the money is inadequate. It sounds pretty good with the stimulus package (supposedly $600 a week extra for people on unemployment, on top of the $1200) but I haven't seen any of the money yet. They say it's all supposed to start happening today and tomorrow. I can put stuff on credit cards for the moment, but it had better come through in the end!

Anyway, it's all boring enough for me to have detailed the minutiae here. Most of the people I know are doing well and it looks like all of you are as well. Hope it stays that way!

Slowly going crazier. Which is strange, considering I was a recluse anyway.

Thankfully, the little work I do is considered essential. So at least I have a place to be now and again.
And say why it never worked for me.
Something to do with violence
A long way back, and wrong rewards,
And arrogant eternity.

I'm glad to see so many of us are still alive and kicking. The only Corona I've caught so far was a cold-one at the house of a guy I play with sometimes as a chaser after a glass of Laphroig. (I would've preferred a Chimay Grand Reserve, but I can't complain. Not too much anyway.)

Unlike so many of you slackers (  ) I'm still working. Essential industry and all that. (Redesigning machine-tooling setups from making Blazer axles and anti-lock brakes to making ventilator parts.) I pretty much follow the safety guidelines, social-distancing and all that but I'm not a fanatic about it. We've all got to go sometimes and I'm not going to spend the rest of the time I have left as a Chinese lab-rat!

Our esteemed and oh-so-knowledgeable Governor Whitmer (a Michigan State University graduate, or as we University of Michigan alumni like to call them, a former C+/2.5 high-school student  ) has issued some pretty stringent executive-order travel guidelines to "Fix the damn virus", but having a Department of Homeland Security tag hanging in your car gives one a lot of slack!

Anyway, good to see we're not all dead yet and that GTU (excuuuuuse me! GuitarZone...) is still functioning, more or less. So stay safe and meanwhile  and keep on pickin'.

I really just wish people here would stop being so selfish and stay home..

I see these pictures of packed beaches and anti-government protests and hear about gyms and salons and things opening up already and I think about everything I've given up and sacrificed to keep me and my family safe and I really just get pissed off..

I know it's hard, I get it. Money is short and we need to work. I get it.

Impatience and idiots who have never been oppressed in their life screaming about oppression are not helping. At all.

I heard some states have already opened stuff and that (all?) others are going to open on 1 May. We've been really lucky here and are now at around 210 days in a row with temperatures under 20C (record is 240ish days), so most people haven't wanted to go outside. It's 11 and sunny today, though, so I'm sure our idiots will be out too.

I highly doubt all states will be open that early. New York, especially.. I would be pretty surprised.
