I'm currently reading a book called "Debt: The first 5000 years" by David Graeber, which is a fascinating work of social anthropology about the emergence of credit in human society and how heavily it has shaped our forms of social organisation, from marriage to slavery to concepts of human rights. It's really well written and accessable while still being well argued and sourced. Really fascinating stuff.

ha, morality.

To be honest, that's pretty much the right reaction.

I'm good thanks Major, how're you?

I'm not comfortable with the consequences of Deontology.

Nor I. I am fond of his Principles and his Imperatives though. I'm more of a Utilitarian, I'd say.

Umm...not trying to be mean or anything but I don't think it's really possible to be a fan of Kant's imperatives and a utilitarian (unless of course you gave that a radical interpretation that jettisoned the Categorical Imperative (i.e. the one that Kant actually cared about) and kept only the Hypothetical Imperative with "if you want to increase utility" as the anticedent clause. That still probably wouldn't be any recognised form of utilitarianism though, as it doesn't involve the belief that some measure of utility (it varies from theory to theory) is the index of wrong and right.)
