I agree about the offside. I don't agree with video refereeing but how human eyes couldn't see that i a mystery. He was standing right next to Mignolet, I mean there's multiple reasons why it was offside.

Meanwhile, I've got a hunch that this is going to be a high scoring season and it'll be the highest goal-per-game average so far in the Premier League. I wanted to put money on that and have tried 3 bookies (Coral, PaddyPower, SkyBet) and no one will do it. I thought you could bet on anything these days but they don't want my money. FML, or something.

Yeah, that's the tricky thing. Before the game they were talking to Carragher and Jamie Redknapp, who was like "at some point you have to say, £90m is a lot of money". Sounds crazy to say it, but is it, now? Full backs are going for £53m, you couldn't sign a top centre back and a top central midfielder for that £90m anymore. Mental.

Against Watford today we were defensively poor yet again. No holding man, vulnerable through the middle. This isn't going to work. Although how on earth that last goal wasn't offside I'll never know.

I like the look of that Lacazette, or however that's spelled. Could be a crucial signing for Arsenal - looks like a good finisher, and for years they've played great football and haven't been ruthless enough in front of goal. Will be interesting seeing more of him.

I like Lukaku. He's a big, powerful, quick, physical number 9 that scores goals. Don't see what's wrong with him.

Bit worried about Liverpool this season. I still think we need a top centre back and a top central midfielder - gutted Lucas has gone - but the most worrying thing is that I have no idea who our starting XI is going to be or even what our formation is going to be. How on earth is Klopp going to accommodate all our attacking options, and who on earth is going to defend? Could be another swashbuckling, defensively risky season from Liverpool, attempting to just outscore the opposition, with a deep-lying playmaker and then 5 attackers. Not sure my blood pressure can cope with this.

Looking forward to the women's Euros starting this weekend. Anyone else going to be watching it? For once, the England side are actually good.

What a game last night. Brilliant.

Also. If Kyle Walker is worth £50m+, Gary Lineker is a bargain.

Yeah, Lukaku is a great signing. Haven't seen many other eye-catching transfers. City were in need of a right-back but it looks like Walker will total £53m which is crazy. Jonathan Wilson in the Guardian said that fees now are "collective madness", saying it's not just that Walker is no Messi or Ronaldo, he isn't even Stuart Pearce or Steve Nicol.

As for my team, Liverpool... well, I hope Klopp knows what he's doing with Salah, but it looks like Lucas is going which i'm gutted about. I love Lucas and I think he's really underrated. Markovic and Flanagan are back, which I'm happy about and I hope they stay now. Markovic is going to be a star, mark my words.
