In Topic: Volume question

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I'll get a volume pedal. I would get a new guitar with 2 volumes pots, but I don't want to get a new guitar, I like the guitars I have. Plus you would be limiting yourself, i.e you would always be using the same pickup for your clean playing, and the other pickup for your lead... unless you quickly swap volume levels. (which is what I'm trying to get away from)
In Topic: fingers hurt all the time

Try new strings or an easier guitar to play. A few years ago (when I had alot of free time) I would play for 4 to 7 hours every day. My fingers rarely hurt, mainly because of good calluses. But if your strings aren't too old, and your guitar is decent, then maybe try practicing songs/licks with few bends (bends are the hardest on your fingers). Or maybe try spraying that spray stuff on your strings to make them slippery. There should be no need to take a break or play less in my opinion.
